The volume, in English, presents the results of the research carried out within the framework of the INTERREG II European Programme concerning the eastern Alpine Space named “Safeguard and Recovery of Settlement Typologies within Small Alpine Villages”. The text illustrates the general methodology and the policies for the recovery of Alpine villages and gives the results of the rigorous analysis of the sources available and of the cataloguing of some of the buildings identified as ‘case studies’ within the different geographical areas.
